The best way to describe my work is to say that I paint in abstraction. I always have.
I think of myself as a bold colorist which means that color is the language that I use to translate my feelings about what I see or feel. Lynda Burch
My passion is experimental art and using textures on the paper, thus the stamp, map, wine label incorporation with acrylic paint. Repurposing old postage stamps, which are in themselves works of art, brings forth nostalgic emotions from the viewers. Old maps which are soon to be obsolete, add to the mix. Each piece of art features stamp images which suit their subject, such as dog stamps on a doggie painting. Native American figures feature maps from the areas in which they are found. This collection certainly holds the viewers interest when they start really looking. It's fun!!

Kimberly Wurster

Kimberly Wurster, a native of western Montana, relocated to the Oregon coast in 1995. Prior to this move Kimberly, with her husband Scott, developed wildlife refuges in Montana, turning unproductive ranch wetlands into prime habitat for waterfowl and trout.
