Artist Statement
I am an oil landscape painter whose appreciation for big sky began in Florida and deepened during time in the midwest. Living in Vermont, West Virginia and New York provided inspiration in the lushness of trees, fields and surrounding mountains. I work in both plein air and in the studio where I reference photographs taken over the years.
Bio
Susan is originally from Florida and began painting in 2016 under the instruction of Paula Wallace in Omaha, Nebraska. After retiring from a career in medicine this year she is pursuing painting full time.
