Native of Washington, DC; graduated from Georgetown University, School of Foreign Service; have oil painted for 65 years, mostly self-taught; have exhibited in juried shows from Rhode Island to Maryland, from Pennsylvania to California, from Idaho to Arizona; "Fellow" Member of American Artists Professional League at Salmagundi Club in NYC; juried member of Oil Painters of America; won awards for: Best in Show; Best Work on Canvas; Second Place; Honorable Mention; John Collins Memorial Award for Oil Painting; and Best Oil Painting, in miscellaneous locations. Member of many art associations and clubs; took Master Class in Wax Resist method with David Lewis and Ephraim Rubenstein. Now residing in wild and wonderful West Virginia, and producing art and writing regularly.
My book, The Granny Chronicles, is a humorous account of a feisty woman who lives in Rock Bottom, the town with no place to go but up. Her adventures and shenanigans are recorded by friends and family members whose lives are forever altered by their association with Emma Frick.
