Artist Statement / Bio
Born in San Antonio, Texas, Margie enjoyed drawing in high school. Margie's education and career then took her in a different direction. Margie worked for a federal government law enforcement agency for many years and then opened her own business in the private investigation field. In 2013, Margie began painting with watercolors. Mainly a studio painter, she also loves to paint outdoors (en plein air). Her travels have afforded her the opportunity to paint throughout the United States, Italy, Spain and France. Combining her love of travel and painting, Margie is continually looking for a way to express herself through her art. Her focus is to show the contrast between light and shadows in a vibrant format.
