Artist Statement/Bio
My passion is experimental art and using textures on the paper, thus the stamp, map, wine label incorporation with acrylic paint. Repurposing old postage stamps, which are in themselves works of art, brings forth nostalgic emotions from the viewers. Old maps which are soon to be obsolete, add to the mix. Each piece of art features stamp images which suit their subject, such as dog stamps on a doggie painting. Native American figures feature maps from the areas in which they are found. This collection certainly holds the viewers interest when they start really looking. It's fun!!
I have been painting for 25 years, beginning in watercolor taking lots of classes and workshops in the early days. I currently have a one woman show at UNM Popejoy Hall Donor Lounge from Nov. 23-Jan. 22. I am a member of the International Society of Experimental Artists, International Society of Acrylic Painters, and Society of Layerists in MultiMedia.

Gallery Representation & Exhibition Schedule
I am represented by Amapola Gallery in Old Town Albuquerque. My next shows are the Albuquerque Cancer Center Gallery with a Cause in March-May, and the Corrales Artists Studio Tour in early May, both in the local area.
