Artist Statement/Bio
I paint out of the love of painting. I have some favorite subject matter that I paint - those grouped into categories. I try to have my painted images capture the subject with great value, color and texture.
I graduated with an art degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara. I grew up on the Monterey Peninsula of California. I have spent time in the Coast Guard, 10 years teaching college studio art, several years in business - and through it all I have painted. I paint full time at this point of my life. Currently I live in South Carolina. I have been listed as one of the top 200 water media and acrylic artists in the U.S. I have had many of my works made into commercially available prints. I also have done a few commissions.
