Artist Statement
Although I work in many mediums, I try to keep up various mediums for practical reasons.
One must draw before one can paint; therefore many of my works are in colored pencil.....also have darkroom experience and often photograph before drawing/painting a piece.
Bio
Cynthia is a native of Hastings NE. Her senior year she applied to Rotary Exchange and was sent to Brazil. After a year she returned to the USA and began attending NAU/Flagstaff AZ. In her sophomore year she transferred to the field of art and transferred back to Hastings College, Hastings NE. For several years she worked at the local newspaper as an ad compositor....later transferring to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in the field of printmaking. She received a Heldman Scholarship there. After working for several years she began working on her Masters at UNK/Kearney and completed that in 2008.
