Artist Statement / Bio
Betty Huang is an award winning artist whose paintings are characterized by a distinctive interplay of color, light and composition that encapsulate simultaneously the complexity and simplicity of nature’s beauty. Inspired by scenes from her worldwide travels, Betty’s creative use of brush strokes and palette knives to recreate unique and uncommon scenes that capture the essence of the emotions and feelings she experienced when first encountering the sites.
Described an artist whose work provides a window into the soul of her subjects, Betty is a supporter of both new and well-established artists, organizing painting workshops nationally and internationally, and showcasing diverse artists’ work at her Studio B Fine Art Gallery in Easton, Maryland. Betty is the President of Working Artists Forum, a juried organization over 100 painters.
