Artist Statement
Watercolor has unique properties that allow for textures and effects that help to express my way of painting. Properties that I can exploit through this magical medium. I am only interested in painting subjects that have meaning to me.
Texture , depth, bold brush strokes and a sense of atmosphere is one of the most fascinating aspects of watercolor that I try to express in my paintings.
I don't always conform to traditional watercolor methods and I let each painting direct me. The less I actually have to do while letting watercolor paint the impression for me, the better.
