Entry 027

Sunday Sail is 18 x 24 stretch paper, 1 inch wrap. I had the opportunity to be on San Francisco Bay for "Opening Day on the Bay" and was able to take several photos of boats sailing around but this particular boat, with it's black-trimmed sail and San Francisco City in the background was caught my eye. It happened that the angle of the boat against the City background allowed me to see the two most famous landmarks of San Francisco--the Transamerica Building and Coit Tower. While neither are the main attraction of this painting, anyone who knows San Francisco will recognize them and perhaps remember a special time they visited that beautiful city.
