Artist: Telagio Baptista
Telagio is a portrait, figurative, cityscape artist while using various atmospheric painting techniques working in watercolor. His paintings are strongly influenced by the use of negative space, allowing the painting to "breathe", depending on the subject matter. Telagio tells a story through his paintings which is similar to telling a story with words. He is interested more in human moods and feeling, not prettiness. Telagio was granted a scholarship to San Francisco Art Institute and finished his education at California College of Arts and Crafts. He has been blessed and grateful for the recognition of numerous award-winning diversified watercolor paintings honored to him at International, National, and Regional juried art shows. Telagio conducts private and group workshops learning and sharing one-on-one throughout Northern California.
